Its finally summer in Toronto. I think we can all agree (at least us Canadians who just endured one of the longest winters I can remember) that there is a lot to love about this time of year. Longer days, warmer nights, and patios/backyards that we can enjoy! My only real complaint would be the constant battle of trying to put sunscreen on a toddler (and Morris is pretty agreeable when I pull out the bottle compared to some of the wrestling matches I’ve witnessed between parents and their kids). Thankfully my good friends at Bridge the Bump have once again found a solution to an everyday problem. Their WIDE brimmed sunhats for babies/toddlers have made my life (at least in terms of sunscreen application) easier! Yes I am of course still having the sunscreen wrestling match but at least now I know the potentially spotty coverage I’ve managed is being supported by this hat! As much as I love the sun and its benefits (Vitamin D and mood enhancement) I am also very aware of the risks to sun exposure; sunburns, skin cancer, eye damage, premature skin aging and weakening the body’s immune system (Health Canada)
The hats feature:
- 100% cotton, preshrunk material
- Adjustable draw cord to customize the fit (at the back) this will allow your child to wear the hat through multiple summers
- Adjustable chin strap with safety release
- A discreet opening at the back to let a pony tail free!
- A wide brim for full coverage
Morris picked out his adorable print with red and blue fish. There are also four other patterns available for purchase here.
Remember how important sun protection is, especially for delicate baby/toddler skin! Hope you have a wonderful summer!
