Final Stretch

I have 1 week and 1 day left until this babe is due to arrive… there is a constant dance party going on inside my belly, which (literally) jiggles like a bowl full of jelly when I laugh (very suiting for my December 20th due date) and I’m loving every minute of it. There were many points over the past few years when I genuinely thought that I would not be able to become pregnant again, I knew that one way or another we would have another child, but wasn’t sure that a pregnancy would be possible. I’m very thankful for the advances in modern medicine (IVF) and for my Acupuncturist, Yuval Blum (anyone in the Toronto area going through fertility I HIGHLY recommend him).

Thankful for this amazing Bridge the Bump coat insert which is keeping me warm now that the temps have dropped, and its reversible so I can wear it with baby under it as well!

This pregnancy has been pretty smooth sailing in comparison to the the two year lead up of trying to get pregnant. But I can now say that I’m thankful for everything that this struggle has brought into my life. I started blogging as a distraction but have made some very close friends and reconnected with some old ones as a result of my posts about infertility. I’ve connected with some VERY cool small business owners and gotten to know some people in our community. I’ve also made some friends through Instagram; local bloggers/influencers who I would have otherwise never met. I still tear up when I think about the experience of fertility treatments, but I know it has made me a stronger person.

Bridge the Bump

*(please note this post is not sponsored, I love to support local small businesses and this product is worth sharing)*

I’ve posted about this company a few times over the past year. If you’re looking for a present for a pregnant or new mom look no further. They have a few ingenious products that would make great gifts. In the photo above I’m wearing their coat extension system. With an adapter zipper, this coat extension allows you to continue wearing your own winter coat with a growing baby bump. The extension is also reversible, so once baby is born it can be turned upside down and worn overtop of your baby in a carrier. Brilliant! They also have maternity/nursing tops (which I have lived in throughout this pregnancy), amazing sun-hats for kiddos, neck-warmers for mamas and matching adorable winter toques for baby/toddlers. My favourite thing about this company, besides the two Mamas behind it (Freda and Danielle) is that everything is MADE IN CANADA!
