The best/funniest thing about this sweet and simple baby girl nursery, with light pink accents, is that it is currently my husband’s room as Rose and I bunk together. girl nursery
Rose does nap in here on occasion and is very content staring up at her mobile while I’m doing things around the house. At some point, once I’m ready to let my (most likely) last baby sleep in her own room, I’m sure she will love this space. girl nursery
I didn’t buy anything for her room beforehand, since I didn’t know her gender. The nursery was painted white, I set-up Morris’s old crib and change table and waited. I had planned either way to have grey and black accents. Then I figured that I would add in one other colour to finish off the room, making it a girl nursery.
I came across this mobile on Etsy shortly after Rose was born. I knew it would be a perfect addition to her room. Owner of Creative Tuesday– Leslie, lives in Wellington New Zealand and hand-makes the prettiest whimsical decor/decorations with environmentally friendly materials. She’s also lovely to correspond with and is always willing to do custom orders. The mobile came beautifully packaged, it was clear to me that Leslie is passionate about her creations and that they are made with love. girl nursery
Whimsy & Kind
The prints in Rose’s room are all from one of my favourite shops Whimsy & Kind (the same shop that I purchased most of the prints from for Morris’s bedroom) Owner Emily, has an expansive collection of prints to choose from (and she hand makes play-tents as well). If I wasn’t trying to keep my kid’s rooms simple I would have ordered WAY more! girl nursery
A Little Fluff
I was so happy to come across the custom pillow case for Rose’s room. I knew I wanted something for the baby nursery with all her ‘birth stats’ on it. But didn’t want the typical plaque or picture frame. I thought a small decorative pillow would look cute, but didn’t know if that existed. A quick Etsy search later and I came across Krista’s page, A Little Fluff. She designs such sweet pillow cases, and has various options for font and layout. girl nursery
Finally, one of the most special pieces in Rose’s room is this (handwritten!) chalkboard art from her Auntie Sarah (whose shop, The Copper Market is coming soon, stay tuned!) girl nursery
