Milestones

Its hard as a mother not to obsess over baby development.  I’m trying to be a bit more relaxed this time around and let Rose ‘meet her milestones’ in her own time. That being said, it’s so much fun to watch her learn new “tricks”; smile, giggle (my all time favourite), grab toys, roll over etc. I was amazed at how quickly she started to track objects above her and started using a play gym while she relaxed on her back in her Dockatot.

I’m obsessed with the Finn and Emma play gym and Rose seems to share in my love for it. With so many baby toys taking over my house these days, its nice to have such a cute item (which also happens to be organic and eco safe).  It looks pretty and can be easily tucked in the corner and moved around the house (its proven helpful to entertain Rose while I grab a quick shower). The play gym has adorable hand knit toys. The toys are made by an artisanal women’s collective in Peru (from G.O.T.S. certified organic cotton and wool) and wood toys that are made from untreated Indian hardwood (great for teething!)

I’m looking forward to watch Rose continue to grow and develop.  Before long she’ll be siting up and playing with these toys!
